Target audience study for FFDP

The first thing that I found whilst researching the band 'Five Finger Death Punch' is that the band members are very appreciative of their fans, and state that 'metal fans are very loyal', in this 2013 BlabberMouth interview, which was posted in the news section of the website. The typical fan of this band is between the ages of 16-50, so clearly they have a very large fan base. This is because 'Five Finger Death Punch' is a metal band, and the metal genre is a very old and popular music genre in which rock stemmed from. 

During my research into this band, I went to Twitter and searched the hashtag '#fivefingerdeathpunch' to see what tweets would appear. I found that a lot of the band's fans frequently write extremely supportive tweets about their music and the members, which proves that what one of the band members said in the BlabberMouth interview about metal fans being very loyal is true. 

The audience of this band seem to all be going through personal struggles and listen to the songs in order to cope and also because the lyrics are very relatable and have meaning to them. There are several youtube comments on several of FFDP's songs that state that they think the video should have more views than popular mainstream artists such as Nick Minaj's songs because the band's lyrics actually have meaning to them and are spreading awareness about certain things.
